CFP FAQ
What is the focus/theme of the conference?
Submissions should focus on the direct application or adaptation of machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, statistics, and/or data science to the field of information security.
We encourage submissions that include analytic or predictive themes.
View our CFP tab for more details.
What type of submissions are accepted?
1) A full-length paper.
2) An extended abstract submission. Both submission types will be considered for a talk or a poster depending on the author’s selection.
View our CFP tab for more details, guidelines, and required formats.
Can I submit a demo?
This year, we are not directly soliciting demos, but we are willing to consider including them as part of accepted talks or posters on an individual basis.
How can I submit my paper/abstract?
Submit via Microsoft CMT: link to be provided.
Are there any submission fees?
No.
Can I submit more than one paper?
Yes, multiple submissions are permitted. However, the review process prioritizes the quality and originality of each individual submission. Authors are encouraged to focus on producing high-caliber work and discouraged from submitting a large volume of less developed manuscripts.
What is the peer review process?
Each paper will undergo a double-blind review and will be considered for presentation as a talk or poster.
What are the important dates?
CFP Opens: Tuesday, April 7
CFP Closes: Friday, June 26
Accepted/Rejected Notifications: Friday, July 31
How will I be notified about the acceptance of my paper?
You will receive an email from Microsoft CMT by FRIDAY, JULY 31 stating whether or not your paper has been accepted or rejected.
What are the publication opportunities?
Papers will be considered for proceedings, though this selection process is independent of presentation selection. To be eligible for proceedings, papers must contain sufficiently novel contributions from prior/contemporaneous published work to avoid conflicts of interest with other conferences. Manuscripts priorly published as white-papers not submitted to other conference venues, e.g., papers that were published solely on arXiv, are fine without additional material.
What happened to CAMLIS Red?
CAMLIS 2025 saw great success with CAMLIS Red submissions (a separate day of the conference focusing on red-teaming submissions). Since the proportion of submissions focusing on red teaming was quite high, this year, we are consolidating red teaming talks under a single CAMLIS conference. We will attempt to organize the program thematically, such that red-teaming talks are presented alongside other red teaming talks.
Is there any financial support or sponsorship available for presenters?
One speaker per accepted paper or poster will receive a complimentary ticket to the conference. If you have already purchased a conference ticket, you will be reimbursed. All other contributors will need to purchase a ticket to the conference.
